How It All Works
Step 1: Reach out
The contact form only takes a minute. Fill it out. Hit send.
Once I receive your inquiry—I’ll text or email you to set up a time to talk. As a precaution, check your spam folder for my reply.
On our call, we’ll begin by talking about you and your partner, how you met, what you do together, etc. We’ll also talk about any rough ideas you have for your wedding and brainstorm ways to put your stamp on things .
Never worked with a photographer before?
Most couples have never hired or worked with a photographer before. You’re not alone!
If you feel sheepish or unsure about anything, or the thought of planning all of this seems overwhelming, that’s absolutely normal.
This call is a way to clarify the process and inspire you with the possibilities available. We may throw out some ideas about where to stay, where to go, how much time is enough time, etc. Or not - you may just want talk about some general aspects of your plan and get a feel for my vibe and see if we are a good match. No pressure!
Step 2: Planning
Let’s Make it Perfect!
Over the next weeks, months or even year, we’ll pull together all the details of your day. We’ll find an unforgettable spot for you to exchange vows based on my knowledge and expertise of the area. I’ll also use my planning skills to get us to the mountains (or anywhere else for that matter) and make sure there are no unexpected surprises on the wedding day!
Lodging
We’ll find that perfect cozy A-frame cabin, yurt, treehouse, mountainside lodge, or other spot that fits your group and exceeds your expectations.
Personalize it!
We’ll go over some of the things that make your relationship unique and find ways to weave them into your day.
Vendor recommendations
As the photographer, I’m not the only vendor you’ll use. There are lots of skilled people working tirelessly behind the scene to make your day awesome. Hair and makeup, caterers or private chefs, officiants, florists, dress designers and tailors, etc., are important too!
Let’s get you connected with the right folks who can provide you with exceptional service and who will add that extra touch you are looking for.
Timeline creation
I’ll assemble all the details on locations, parking, directions, hike length or difficulty and come up with a timeline that feels relaxed.
The last thing you want is to miss the best light because you’re en route to the destination!
Done well, the timeline is the secret sauce that keeps us on track throughout the day. It will allow just the right amount of time to get to those hidden gem spots you want to experience together for your ceremony in a way that feels natural and, most of all, relaxed.
Unlimited Check-ins
Throughout the planning phase, I’m here to answer questions and make sure we are staying on track so that you come fully prepared for your wedding day.
I want couples to reach out whenever they need some outside expertise to help with a decision. That’s why I don’t set limits on check-in calls or planning meetings. I got you!
In the final week and days prior to your wedding, we’ll be chatting in real-time about the weather and double-checking our packing list, timeline, and vendor readiness.
Step 3: The Big Day
Once we arrive at the wedding day, you and your partner simply savor every moment as all of the hard work begins to pay off. All of the planning and prep takes shape and the day unfolds naturally.
Any stress leading up has hopefully vanished and you and your partner feel relaxed the whole day.
I arrive ready to capture all the emotional moments, details, and grandeur of where we are, as well as the natural beauty surrounding us.
Teasers
After we hug goodbye, I typically round up some of my favorite moments from the the day and share enough teasers to satisfy your excitement to share with friends and family. I always try to get them to you as fast as possible, too - typically within 24 hours.
Your Full Gallery
Six to ten weeks after your wedding day (depending on the season), you’ll receive an email with a link to the full gallery and a shareable slideshow of highlights to share with friends and family.
Your beautiful gallery will contain hundreds of moments that knock your socks off be an emotional reminder you of why you married your best friend (in the most amazing way possible.)
