From the start, he was very helpful as we laid out a plan for our day - giving us so many great recommendations for the area we wanted to have our ceremony, as well as vendors from the Asheville area. This alone was wonderful, but we were blown away by Andy's flexibility and willingness to work with us when we had to completely change our wedding plans at the last minute due to the devastation left by Hurricane Helene in the WNC area.

We ended up moving everything to Colorado, and we are so grateful to the hours Andy put in to find great locations, research how weather could affect us and specific locations at the time of year we were there, as well as thinking of details to make our guests, and ourselves, more comfortable when we weren't thinking of these things so last minute. Our wedding day in Colorado was absolutely perfect, and the photos we have gotten back are incredible, and we truly feel like so much of that was successful because of Andy's assistance. From the logistics, to being a fantastic photographer committed to getting the best, most beautiful shots for us, to also just being an all around wonderful, kind person to interact with - we can't recommend him enough. Meet your photographer
Hi, I’m Andy Wickstrom, an adventure elopement and micro wedding photographer based in Asheville, NC. I specialize in capturing intimate weddings and elopements in incredible locations—from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Rockies, the deserts of Utah, the Oregon Coast, and beyond.
Before settling in Asheville, my wife and I spent five years living full-time in an RV with our dog and best travel buddy, Pickle. We explored national parks, climbed across the West and Southeast, and built two small creative businesses from inside our 16-foot camper.
While on the road, I honed my skills photographing adventure athletes—mostly professional climbers—and capturing stunning landscapes. Living and traveling in a tiny camper shaped my perspective and taught me to appreciate simple, meaningful experiences.
I photographed my first adventure elopement in 2015 for a friend and climber on a glacier near Squamish, BC. Inspired by that experience and by pioneering adventure elopement photographers like my friends Brandon and Gabi Fox (of Foxes Photography), I knew this was the path for me.
